Leadership

Prince Chijioke, PharmD

Founder

Prince Chijioke is from Baltimore, MD and moved to El Paso, Texas in the fall of 2016. Upon arriving, he realized there was a void in networking opportunities for young, Black professionals. After some conversations, he first started a group chat to connect people in El Paso which laid the initial foundation for the idea behind "El Paso Young Black Leaders."

His vision behind the group would be to create a gathering point and welcome committee for young, Black professionals who have been in El Paso or are new to El Paso and also to integrate into the local community and give Black people more reasons to engage with the city of El Paso beyond employment.

Prince left El Paso in 2019, but still connects with the group's current leadership, offering advice on next steps. He holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Howard University and currently works as a consultant. His other endeavors include a recent start-up called Smashed Studios (www.smashedstudios.com) where he aims to create table-top games.
